21 September 2006 - Fraudulent Emails

It has come to our attention that fraudulent emails are being circulated purporting to be from AIB. These emails request AIB Internet Banking customers to go to a website enter personal information such as Registration Number, Personal Access Code, Name, Address, Credit Card details, etc. This mail is NOT from AIB. It is a fraudulent attempt to obtain your banking details.

If you have received this mail DO NOT ENTER ANY DETAILS, forward it to alert@aib.ie and then delete it without clicking on any links or attachments.

Please remember AIB NEVER asks customers to enter their Internet Banking log-in details or user access codes through email.

What should you do if you have received this email?

  1. Do not click any links. Do not open any attachments. Do not enter any details. Forward the email to alert@aib.ie and then delete the email.
  2. AIB Internet Banking Users - contact the AIB Internet Banking team using our secure contact form or contact us by telephone at 1890 24 24 24.
  3. AIB iBusiness Banking or EBB Users - contact the AIB iBusiness Banking/EBB Support team by telephone at 1890 42 22 42.
