Add an Authorised User to your account

Nominate an additional cardholder on your AIB Credit Card. For no extra charge, they will be issued with a second card on your account and can avail of all the privileges and advantages that an AIB Credit Card can offer. As well as sharing a credit limit, all transactions will be detailed on your monthly statement. For a higher credit limit, contact us and we'll endeavour to satisfy your needs. If you haven't already nominated an additional cardholder on your account and would like to do so now, complete the below application form.

Transferring a balance to your new AIB Credit Card

To transfer a balance from a non-AIB credit card or store card to your new AIB Credit Card simply complete the Balance Transfer Form. Include the amount that you wish to transfer and the account number of the account you wish to credit. Sign and return it to us and we will look after the rest. Don't forget the total amount that you transfer must not exceed your available credit limit, and transfers must be from non-AIB credit cards or store cards. 

Note: For AIB 'be' cardholders, all balance transfers will qualify as part of the purchase spend target. For new AIB cardholders the introductory APR is applied on balance transfers for 12 months from the date your credit card account is opened. The maximum total amount that 'be' cardholders can transfer must not exceed EUR5,000.

Note: For AIB Platinum Visa cardholders, balance transfers do not count towards purchase spend for Cashback awards. For new AIB cardholders the introductory APR is applied on balance transfers for 12 months from the date your credit card account is opened.

Existing AIB credit cardholders can also transfer balances from non-AIB credit and store cards. However the introductory rate will not apply in these cases. The balance transferred will be charged at the standard variable purchase rate applicable to the product at the time.
